Judge denies Lupin bid to block Alaska AG document request

( July 2, 2015, 22:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge Richard D. Bennett has issued on order granting Alaska Attorney General Craig Richards' motion to dismiss a complaint by Lupin Pharmaceuticals seeking to enjoin a civil investigative demand issued by the AG's office. Bennett held that the AG's petition in Alaska court for an order to show cause why Lupin shouldn't be in contempt for failing to respond to the CID is "a state proceeding that implicates the State’s interest in enforcing the orders and judgments of its courts," and the Supreme Court's ruling in Younger v. Harris calls for him to abstain from exercising jurisdiction over the proceedings.See document below....
