Axon files reply in support of US Supreme Court rejecting 'implied jurisdiction-stripping' posed by FTC

( September 7, 2022, 21:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Axon Enterprise told the US Supreme Court that the government is trying to advance "a sweeping vision of implied jurisdiction-stripping that only an unaccountable agency with serious constitutional flaws could love." Axon is asking the court to resolve the issue of the constitutionality of the FTC’s structure. According to Axon, the government’s arguments would create a situation in which “the agency holds all the cards — able to go to district court for immediate relief or consign the citizen to years of unconstitutional abuse — and Congress can strip courts of expressly granted jurisdiction by granting additional jurisdiction, a sleight of hand sure to leave the citizenry befuddled, but not amused.”See document below. ...
