Plaintiffs file consolidated complaint in antitrust case over HIV treatment

( July 1, 2019, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Plaintiffs filed a consolidated complaint against Gilead Sciences, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Japan Tobacco, Akros Pharma, Janssen, and Johnson & Johnson accusing them of conspiring to maintain a monopoly in the market for combination antiretroviral therapy used to treat human immunodeficiency virus. The complaint claims Gilead and its co-conspirators entered into unlawful agreements providing that each co-conspirator would not compete against Gilead’s Tenofovir, and would effectively block other companies from competing against Tenofovir, even after Gilead’s patents expired.See document below....
