Hypera-Takeda deal assigned to CADE Tribunal councilor Azevedo, Tupy-Teksid assigned to Braido

( December 10, 2020, 18:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Hypera's planned buyout of certain medicines from Takeda Pharmaceuticals International has been assigned to Brazilian competition authority Tribunal Councilor Paula Farani de Azevedo Silveira, following the Superintendence's opinion that the deal should be approved conditioned on structural remedies. Additionaly, Brazilian metallurgic firm Tupy's planned acquisition of FCA’s metal firm Teksid has been assigned to Councilor Luis Henrique Bertolino Braido, following the Superintendence's recommendation that the deal be blocked.See CADE press release below (in Portuguese)....
