Italian data watchdog investigates Covid vaccine-related traineeship denial

( June 12, 2024, 12:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Italian data protection authority has opened an investigation into a case of several student nurses, who were denied the possibility of carrying out a mandatory hospital traineeship because they hadn't received a fourth dose of the Covid vaccine. The hospital cited regional law for rejecting those students. However, the privacy watchdog pointed out that not since November 2022 has the Covid vaccine been mandatory for healthcare workers, and it gave the hospital 15 days to explain the rationale and legal basis for such a request.Full statement below (in Italian)...
