End-user consumer plaintiffs say DOJ should take part in chicken antitrust case, not be granted stay

( June 26, 2019, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: End-user consumer plaintiffs say they do not oppose the US Department of Justice’s request to intervene in a civil class action accusing chicken producers of price-fixing but oppose its request for a stay. They say that they and the court have spent significant time and substantial resources moving this case forward since it was filed without any parallel criminal investigation and the DOJ has failed to indicate that the stay will be limited and short-term.
