Agri Stats' US motion says there's no evidence its reports facilitated conspiracy to fix pork prices, output

( June 7, 2024, 22:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Defendant Agri Stats filed a motion for summary judgment in a proposed class action complaint filed against a group of pork suppliers accusing them of conspiring to fix prices. In a filing to the District of Minnesota, Agri Stats said discovery in the case has "produced no evidence" that Agri Stats’s reports and services facilitated a conspiracy among pork processors to restrict output and raise prices of pork or any other anticompetitive purpose. "Plaintiffs’ theories that Defendant Pork Processors used the information in Agri Stats’s benchmarking reports to either (a) coordinate their output levels, or (b) “police” their own output agreement fail because the undisputed facts in the record show that Agri Stats reports do not contain current or future production output about any company," the motion said.See attached document....
