Google ad decision not relevant to case against Facebook, according to US FTC, states

( May 21, 2021, 17:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Contrary to Facebook’s suggestion, a decision that dismissed antitrust claims against Google does not support Facebook’s own motion to dismiss claims filed by the US Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general, according to the agency and states. They argued that the Google case is sufficiently distinguishable from the one brought against Facebook. While the previous case focused on changes to product designs, they said that this case focuses on conditional dealing policies that deterred its trading partners from competing with Facebook or assisting its competitors.
