Russian fertilizer maker EuroChem challenges EU duties at bloc’s top court

( March 13, 2023, 12:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nevinnomyssky Azot, a subsidiary of Russian fertilizer giant EuroChem, has challenged the EU’s lower-tier General Court ruling of Sept. 14, 2022, according to the court notice published today. The judges upheld the bloc’s duties on urea ammonium nitrate, or UAN, from Russia, the US and Trinidad and Tobago, saying the EU regulator was right to impose duties higher than the level of injury felt by EU industry because of significant distortions to raw material prices found in Russia. Nevinnomyssky Azot lodged an appeal against the ruling, asking the judges to put it aside, annul duties or refer the case back to the EU’s lower-tier General Court.Summary of the appeal follows.
