​​TechnipFMC and US unit resolve FCPA charges over bribery in Brazil, Iraq

( June 25, 2019, 21:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Oil services company TechnipFMC and its US unit, Technip US, have resolved Foreign Corrupt Practices Act charges with the US Department of Justice as part of a global settlement of parallel charges in Brazil, according to a DOJ statement. They agreed to pay a combined total criminal fine of more than $296 million in the global settlement. In addition to the Brazilian charges, the DOJ said that from "2008 and continuing until at least 2013, FMC conspired to violate the FCPA by paying bribes to at least seven government officials in Iraq, including officials at the Ministry of Oil, the South Oil Company and the Missan Oil Company, through a Monaco-based intermediary company."Statement follows.
