Google fined in India for antitrust abuses

( February 8, 2018, 16:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary:  Google abused its dominant position in online search and search advertising services in India, the country's competition authority has found. The regulator ruled that the prominent display of flight results linking to Google's own services was a breach of antitrust law. Separate restrictions on publishers were found to be illegal, but the authority didn't rule against Google over certain design features, AdWords and online intermediation and distribution agreements. Google was fined 1.36 billion rupees ($21.17 million) for the breaches. ...
