Quebec Appeals Court orders retrial of defendant in gasoline price-fixing case

( September 9, 2016, 22:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Court of Appeals of Quebec ordered a retrial for Linda Proulx, owner of a gas station in Magog who was convicted at trial of price-fixing. The appeals court found that the lower court judge erred in relying on statements made by a co-conspirator in 2005 to help convict her of joining the conspiracy in 2006.
