Companies fail to innovate in fear of GDPR fines, German trade organization says

Bitkom said that the GDPR has missed its most important goals: the Europe-wide harmonization of the legal framework and practice of data protection, and the coordination among 27 supervisory authorities at EU level on a uniform interpretation of it. Additionally, enforcement of the rules is working slowly in practice, Bitkom said.Statement follows in German....
