Audiovisual sector's territorial and exclusive licensing is 'essential,' EU governments say

( May 18, 2021, 16:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU governments have said that there is an "urgent need" to recognize that "existing business models in the audiovisual sector are often based on territorial and exclusive allocation of licensing." These licenses "remain essential for creativity freedom, financing, sustainability and provide the basis for the development of new business models in this sector."
