FTTH Council study forecasts 'outstanding growth' in fiber-optic connections by 2026 in EU

( December 3, 2020, 12:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: High-speed fiber-optic cable connections to the home or building are projected to increase to 202 million homes by 2026 in the EU and the UK, according to a market study by the FTTH Council. This compares to 26.2 million in 2012. The FTTH Council said some countries are expected to experience "outstanding growth" in the number of homes passed in 2026 compared to 2019 such as Germany (plus 730 percent), United Kingdom (+548 percent) and Italy (+218 percent).Press release below....
