Dutch competition authority to monitor fiber-connection rollout

( October 18, 2019, 08:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Fiber connections in the Netherlands are needed to meet future growing demand for fast broadband, in particular in urban areas, the Autoriteit Consument & Markt has said in a market study published today. The regulator said that parties should explore more opportunities for joined investment. It also says that conditions by public authorities for the rollout of fiber should be made public to accelerate the deployment process and bring clarity for companies. The ACM said that it will closely monitor the market to establish whether competition issues might arise.Statement follows in Dutch....
