HNA, Air France notify CADE of air catering deal

( September 21, 2016, 16:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: HNA Aviation, a subsidiary of Chinese HNA Group, has notified the Brazilian competition authority of its plan to acquire unitary control of La Compagnie d'Exploitation des Services Auxiliaires Aériens through the acquisition of a 49.99 percent stake in ServAir currently held by Air France. The companies filed paperwork with the Administrative Council for Economic Defense using a full-form notification because HNA and Air France overlap in the air catering services market. Their combined market share exceeds 20 percent, the companies said in their initial submissions to CADE. Shares of Air France–KLM, which holds Air France, are traded on Euronext. HNA is privately held.OJ statement follows in Portuguese....
