Southwire asks US court to enter judgment against Copperweld's antitrust claims ahead of filing

( August 18, 2022, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Building-wire company Southwire Company asked a US federal judge to declare that it did not conspire with other copper-wire manufacturers to “bias” or “taint” the process through which the National Fire Protection Association establishes the model electrical code followed in most of the US. The complaint is ahead of antitrust claims rival company Copperweld Bimetalics intends to file regarding its 14-gauge copper-clad aluminum wire.
