Thirteen individuals to be notified about Brazil cable cartel probe

( November 30, 2020, 13:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Thirteen individuals who live abroad will be notified of their inclusion in a cable cartel probe in Brazil through publication in a widely circulated newspaper or on the world wide web, according to a statement. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, said it couldn't locate the individuals and, therefore, it will use an alternate method to notify foreign people. The probe was originally part of an older probe involving several companies that were fined by the agency this year. They include Prysmian, Nexans Exsym Corp. and Viscas Corp. CADE had split the probe to avoid delays in the original investigation. Individuals to be notified include Heon Sang Lee, linked to LS Cable, and Young-Min Kim and Jang Hee Lee, linked to Taihan Electric Wire Co.See OJ statements below (in Portuguese)....
