Facebook loses UK appeal over CMA’s refusal to relax Giphy freeze order

The Court of Appeal today rejected all four grounds of the tech giant’s appeal, and said the central problem in the case was “entirely of Facebook’s own making.” Facebook had argued that the Competition and Markets Authority’s imposition of the freeze order was disproportionate, and that the Competition Appeal Tribunal was wrong to have upheld it last November.The judgment is attached....
