UK government, CMA issue MOU over coordination under NSIA

( June 16, 2022, 12:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK government's business department (BEIS) and the Competition and Markets Authority have published a memorandum of understanding, setting out how they will cooperate and share information under the National Security and Investment Act. The MOU states that both parties may seek to share information on deals being considered under either, or both, of their regimes. It also states that, prior to issuing interim or final orders and notifications under the NSIA where the CMA is likely to have an interest, BEIS will seek to inform the CMA ahead of time and consider any representations from it.Statement follows.
