For the current year, the government plans to cut the KPPU's budget allocation by up to 27 billion rupiah ($2 million) from a proposed budget of 116 billion rupiah. KPPU Chairman Syarkawi Rauf said the biggest cut would likely impact funding for studying cases and case handling. Budget cuts have also been imposed among other agencies and institutions as the government attempts to rein in spending....
