EU AI Office unveils broader structure and plans for guidance, confirms director, collaboration (update*)

Its director is confirmed as Lucilla Sioli, director of artificial intelligence and digital industry within the commission’s technology wing, and a timeline for guidance — including a definition of what AI is — will begin on the day of the AI Act coming into effect in July.The EU AI Office structure and new advisory roles were announced today and ahead of the organizational changes taking effect on June 16, although staff already in place are currently working on the office’s responsibilities....
