Verisure, Sector Alarm hit with antitrust charges in Norway

( June 17, 2019, 09:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Norway's competition authority has formally charged Verisure and Sector Alarm, the country's largest providers of residential alarm services, with breaching competition rules. The companies had allegedly agreed not to target each other's customers with home selling, between 2011 and 2017. The authority has threatened to impose a fine of 784 million kroner (around $90 million) on Verisure, and 424.8 million kroner on Sector Alarm.
