Samsung SDI can get Hungarian support for electric vehicle battery plant, EU Commission says

( February 28, 2023, 10:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Samsung SDI can get 89.6 million euros in Hungarian public support to ramp up production capacity for electric vehicle batteries for its plant in Göd, the European Commission has said. Initially, Hungary notified a 108 million-euro measure which the regulator found excessive. After an in-depth state aid probe, it cleared the aid, saying that the project would have happened outside of the EU without the public funding.Press release follows....
