Sanders, Cummings urge DOJ to prioritize generics price-fixing investigation

( June 14, 2019, 15:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Representative Elijah Cummings and Senator Bernie Sanders, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee and ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, respectively, sent a letter to the US Department of Justice urging the agency to prioritize its criminal antitrust investigation into price-fixing of generic drugs. "We urge the Department of Justice to investigate whether generic drug companies and executives violated criminal antitrust law and ask that the Department of Justice pursue enforcement if warranted," they said.See letter below....
