Ambev, HNK probe into exclusivity clauses scrutinized by Brazilian competition authority's economists

( February 24, 2023, 13:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Brazilian subsidiary of Netherlands-based brewing company Heineken and rival Ambev's exclusivity clauses are under investigation by the economics department of the Brazilian competition authority, according to a statement. Last September, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, imposed a preventive measure on Ambev and HNK, restricting the number of exclusive relationships they can have with points of sale. CADE's economics department, known as DEE, is now looking into whether any updates on the preventive measure are necessary.See OJ statement below in Portuguese....
