Fincantieri to get control of STX France under French-Italian agreement

( September 28, 2017, 22:55 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: France and Italy have signed a framework agreement to allow Fincantieri to control shipbuilder STX France. Fincantieri will have 50 percent of STX France, and France will lend it shares equivalent to one percent of STX France's capital for 12 years, under certain conditions such as maintaining workers and protecting intellectual property. The terms are set to be formalized in a shareholders' agreement in coming weeks. The governments also agreed to work toward increased naval cooperation.Full text follows (in French)....
