Steiner Bau fined EUR1.3 million for Austrian construction bid-rigging cartel

( May 22, 2024, 07:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Steiner Bau has been fined 1.3 million euros by the Austrian cartel court for collusion as part of public and private tenders for construction services. The conduct took place between at least December 2005 and June 2017, and mainly involved road building. Steiner cooperated with the authority outside the leniency program and acknowledged the law breach, and therefore qualified for a reduced fine.
