LinkedIn, Dropbox lose chance for $1.7 million as US prosecutors can't prove cost of Russian cyberattacks

By Mike Swift ( August 2, 2022, 20:41 GMT | Insight) -- LinkedIn and Dropbox have lost their chance to receive $1.7 million in restitution paid by a Russian man convicted in 2020 of cyberattacks against the companies, with the US Department of Justice saying it can’t prove the cost of the cyberattacks to the companies.
