Petrofac welcomes UK court ruling that faults Italian insider trading decision

( January 24, 2018, 11:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: British oil company Petrofac today welcomed a UK High Court ruling that said Italian regulators didn't follow due process when they sanctioned the company's chief executive for alleged insider trading. The court ordered that the sanction served against Ayman Asfari in August last year by the Italian National Commission for Companies and the Stock Exchange, or CONSOB, should be set aside and annulled, the company said. Asfari continues to deny any wrongdoing and is appealing the claims in the Italian courts on both the merits and the procedure of the case.Statement follows. ...
