SOCO responds to allegations in documentary ‘Virunga’

( May 14, 2014, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: London based oil company SOCO has spoken out strongly against the portrayal of its oil exploration activities in Block V, located in the Albertine Rift area of the Democratic Republic of Congo, in a documentary. The company stressed that ‘Virunga’ had been produced by a company detractor and therefore falsely represented the company’s ethical conduct in its exploration for oil in the Viruga National Park.
