Haynes International-Acerinox deal under formal review by the UK competition authority

( May 17, 2024, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Haynes International said that the UK's competition authority informed the company on May 14 that it will be conducting a formal investigation of Haynes' proposed acquisition of Acerinox, according to a securities filing. In addition to the Austrian Phase II investigation and the UK Formal Investigation, the completion of the transaction remains subject to various customary conditions, including regulatory approval by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
