WhatsApp privacy changes to be reviewed by FTC, agency official says in letter

( September 7, 2016, 17:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Trade Commission will "carefully review" a complaint by the Electronic Privacy Information Center regarding changes to the privacy policy of Facebook's WhatsApp mobile messaging service, an agency official said in an Aug. 31 letter posted Wednesday on the EPIC website.The official, Jah-Juin "Jared" Ho of the FTC's Division of Privacy and Indentity Protection, said any formal investigation by the agency would be non-public until a complaint is made or the probe is closed.See attached letter....
