Uber asks to intervene in price-fixing case against CEO

( May 24, 2016, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Uber has asked US District Judge Jed Rakoff to allow it to intervene in a case against its co-founder and CEO Travis Kalanick for allegedly fixing the prices charged for rides taken using Uber’s services. Uber says that it has a legally protected and significant interest in resolving Spencer Meyer’s challenge to its business model through arbitration, which he accepted as a condition of using the pricing algorithm that he claims caused his injury.
