Facebook's data collection challenge: Düsseldorf court publishes questions to EU's top court

( April 23, 2021, 12:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The higher regional court in Düsseldorf today published questions it put forward to the EU's highest court, as part of a dispute that pits Facebook against Germany's Bundeskartellamt over an order for Facebook to stop combining user data collected from WhatsApp and Instagram. On March 24, judges in Düsseldorf stayed the court proceedings and decided to refer the case to the Court of Justice of the EU, seeking more clarity on the application of the bloc's data protection provisions to the case.
