Google says Texas attorney general's Android privacy claims must be heard in California, not Texas

( March 17, 2022, 18:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google told a state judge in Victoria County, Texas, that privacy claims made by the Texas attorney general should be heard in a California court, not under Texas law. The facts in the case, Google said in a court filing, "demonstrate that Google has intentionally and appropriately structured its business to avoid availment of a Texas forum. And its users around the world agree. Under these circumstances, requiring Google to litigate in Texas does not comport with traditional notions of fair play and substantial justice."See attached document....
