Pornhub, XVideos, Stripchat court filings set stall for disputing EU designation and duties

( May 13, 2024, 12:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Companies operating some of the most-visited pornography websites in Europe have detailed their challenges of the EU’s Digital Services Act in their filings to the General Court of the bloc’s top court. The filings, which were submitted at the end of February and beginning of March, have been published today. Technius, which operates Stripchat, Aylo Freesites, which operates Pornhub and WebGroup Czech Republic, operator of XVideos, are all contesting their designation as very large online platforms under the DSA. The latter two are also calling the specific requirement for VLOPs to publish databases of advertisers unlawful, citing rights to anonymity and property.The filings are attached....
