Telecom provider gets Croatian GDPR fine

( July 21, 2022, 18:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: An unnamed telecom provider in Croatia has been fined 2.15 million kuna (around $290,000) by the data protection authority for violating the GDPR, the watchdog said in a statement published today. After the company reported the data breach, which related to the unauthorized processing of the personal data of around 100,000 people, the watchdog found the incident was due to the company's failure to implement sufficient technical and organizational measures for data security. The regulator said it had also imposed a fine of 30,000 kuna on an unnamed car dealer in Zagreb, for violating the national rules on processing data via video surveillance.Statement follows in Croatian. ...
