EU Commission publishes international emission-permit data

( June 4, 2015, 15:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: International emission allowances exchanged for carbon permits on the EU’s emissions trading system reached 388.4 million by April 30, according to data published by the European Commission. This is an increase of just over 231 million allowances compared with figures published last November. The commission said 195.91 million credits were Certified Emission Reductions, which installation operators earn by investing in clean technologies in poorer countries, and 192.53 million were Emission Reduction Units.Full statement follows:...
