Ukraine, EU gas flows 'uninterrupted' as Naftogaz starts Ukrtransgaz unbundling

( October 3, 2017, 14:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ukrtransgaz is to be restructured, with a new branch created called Ukraine's Gas Transmission System Operator, the company's sole shareholder Naftogaz announced. The measure is a "decisive real step towards unbundling," Director of Energy Community Secretariat Janez Kopač said. UGTSO will focus on ensuring gas transmission through Ukraine. Once separated, it will apply for transmission system operator certification in line with EU requirements.
