Torghatten, Fjord1 deal attracts Norwegian antitrust opposition

The purchase would reduce competition in a market that already has too few participants and would risk a reduction in competition in future tenders for the operation of ferry links, the authority said. Torghatten had proposed some remedies to alleviate the competition concerns, but these were insufficient, the authority concluded.
