CADE splits automotive-harnesses cartel probe due to delays in notifying foreign defendants

( November 9, 2020, 22:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Brazilian competition authority has split an investigation into an alleged cartel in the national and international markets for automotive harnesses and electrical automotive components. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, said it was unable to notify 16 foreign defendants due to a delay in delivering notifications abroad, but did notify others properly. According to CADE, splitting the case will ensure that the investigation of the rest of the defendants that were notified can move forward.See OJ statement and CADE decision below (in Portuguese)....
