The probe was stopped due to the death of its vice president, Lee In-won. He committed suicide the day before he was supposed to be summoned. Prosecutors plan to summon other executives, including Shin Young-ja, the head director of the Lotte Foundation, soon but no date has been fixed yet. The chief of the group, Shin Dong-bin, and the former vice president of Lotte Holdings, Shin Dong-ju, are also to be summoned next month. Previously, prosecutors planned to conclude their investigation before Thanksgiving (Sep. 15) but it is expected to be delayed. ...
