US Chamber of Commerce moves to intervene in tax service firm's suit over FTC noncompete rule

( May 9, 2024, 14:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Chamber of Commerce and other business groups asked a Texas federal judge to intervene in tax services firm Ryan LLC's lawsuit challenging the Federal Trade Commission's rule banning nearly all noncompete agreements after their own suit was put on hold. The groups are prepared to file a motion for a stay and preliminary injunction "promptly" after permission to intervene is granted, they said in a brief supporting their motion to intervene, and defendants can respond at the same time to a "parallel motion" from the plaintiffs.See documents below....
