South Korea's Daelim Industrial ordered to compensate Gwangju City over bid-rigging case

( September 29, 2017, 07:15 GMT | Insight) -- South Korea's Gwangju District Court has ordered Daelim Industrial to compensate Gwangju City 6.9 billion won ($6 million) for bid rigging, News 1 reports.South Korea's Gwangju District Court has ordered Daelim Industrial to compensate Gwangju City 6.9 billion won ($6 million) for bid rigging, News 1 reports. The company was accused of colluding in a bid ordered by the Public Procurement Service to construct the city's sewage treatment plant in February 2011. The firm and three other builders including Kumho E&C, Kolon Global and Namhai participated in the collusion to help Dalim win the bid. The Korea Fair Trade Commission sanctioned the firms and Daelim received fines of 3.5 billon won. Several officials from the company were also convicted earlier of accepting bribes....
