Danske Bank CEO Vogelzang resigns after being named in ABN Amro probe

( April 19, 2021, 08:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Danske Bank's chief executive officer Chris Vogelzang has resigned, after Dutch authorities named him as a suspect in connection with their investigations into potential money laundering failings at ABN Amro. "I am very surprised by the decision by the Dutch authorities... [but] my status as a suspect does not imply that I will be charged," Vogelzang said today. ABN Amro today announced it had been fined 480 million euros by Dutch prosecutors for shortcomings in its anti-money laundering compliance. Vogelzang is one of three former senior executives under investigation as suspects in the case, the Openbaar Ministerie said.Statement follows....
