Kongsberg welcomes prosecutor’s decision to drop corruption charges

( August 16, 2016, 17:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Kongsberg Gruppen, an oil and gas technology systems provider, has praised Norway’s anticorruption agency for dropping corruption charges it had brought against the company in 2014. The authority, Økokrim, was investigating possible corruption offenses related to the supply of communications equipment to Romanian government agencies between 2000 and 2008. But Økokrim is continuing to pursue charges against a former Kongsberg employee, who was fired in 2015 as a result of the probe.Full statement follows....
