IBM, Ubirch, Govdigital, Bechtle to develop EU vaccination certificate, German ministry says

( April 15, 2021, 10:14 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A consortium of IBM, Ubirch, Govdigital and Bechtle has been awarded the contract to develop the EU-wide standardized vaccination certificate, Germany's Federal Ministry of Health told the national parliament's digital committee yesterday. The Digital Green Certificate should be available in Germany by mid-May, the ministry said. EU governments this month agreed on the negotiating mandate after the European Commission proposed a Covid-19 health status certification scheme. It is expected to be operational by June.
