Peru's Indecopi wins court battle involving companies linked to compressed natural gas cartel probe

( July 13, 2022, 20:55 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Peruvian competition authority has won a legal battle involving companies fined in a cartel probe into the compressed natural gas (CNG) market, according to a statement. The companies, whose names weren’t disclosed, tried to annul the agency’s decision in court, saying the antitrust case was time-barred. The court ratified a previous decision from the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property, or Indecopi, sanctioning 63 companies and 29 individuals for fixing prices of CNG in Lima and Callao from 2011 to 2015.
